Time with friends Sherrilene, Louise and Mila

I have taken my time posting these photos and this blog about meeting with some amazing and special women in my life. Selfishly, I wanted to savour the moment before sharing with our many other friends on Gaia and in other global communities. However, the time has come. May you enjoy the following photo essay about friendships - old, new and from far away and yet so very close...
Sherrilene and I quickly discovered that we were far more alike than different. We also discovered that if your communications in an on-line community are authentic then this foundation is present when you get to meet face-to-face.
Working and facilitating with Sherrilene was like being able to have another aspect of me in the room engaged, fully present and holding the space for women leaders to step into.
I am looking forward to the next opportunity that will present itself for us to work together and as the old saying goes "the world is our oyster!" I would like to add that it is full of pearls as in our community here on Gaia.
Between meetings in Vancouver we chilled over lunch while in the back of our minds knowing that it would be time to go to the airport all to soon.
We met with a small dynamo of energy, Louise Uwacu, who is launching the release of her book The Nightmare of a Positivion that you can see on the table in front of her. Louise's passion, drive and expressive nature is a delight and honour to experience. Louise writes with that same pure, direct and sometimes raw emotion which I experienced when meeting her. While reading her book I have laughed, cried and reflected with her as she tells the important stories about living and having a positive vision. Louise is also a radio talkshow host on blogtalk radio.
Ahh... just take some time to enjoy the presense of these two beautiful women! I felt like I had known them forever and yet I knew there just wasn't going to be enough time available to visit, chat and discuss all the things that are important.
Both Sherrilene and Mila have also written about us getting together. Please go and read Sherrilene's blog and also Mila's blog for it is in our collective reflections that we share the wholeness of our experience.
To all of our Gaia friends we are grateful for your friendship and community.
Much love to Sherrilene, Louise and Mila for sharing this part of my life's journey with me.

Help

Ah, I love the wonderful pictures you take as much as the heartfelt and inspiring commentary! Thank you.
Your welcome Nicole. I enjoy taking photos and I am always honoured when people allow me to capture them in this manner. A small secret though - I hate having MY photo taken! lol
Reading this entry and filling my eyes with your photos was like being handed a boquet of lovely flowers. I am grateful for you many gifts; thank you for sharing.
- Laurie
Oh Terrill! I used to say I am never embarassed but today I am! A candid picture does make the difference. Mila joins me, certainly, to say thanks for your welcome to this new place for the two of us, and for keeping an open mind and heart for us as women and as people. I am honoured to have had this opportunity to share some time, if even a little, with you. Thank you for being you.
Blessings and peace, Sherrilene
You are welcome Laurie. I am glad that you came by:)
Sherrilene, I love all these photos of you which capture your authenticity, beauty and grounded presence. However, I can appreciate how startling it can be to see ourselves in photos. Thank you for letting everyone share this glimpse into your life and work.

Wow, these are such joyful photos of Sherri. I feel as though I am in the room with her in this blog. What's even more amazing is that I got here by checking in at FB. Small world afterall.

Thank you Samme, Asteri, Kes, Ariela, Nahnni, and Merry Mary for all your comments and observations. Sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to you. I have been away for many days and have been playing catch-up since Monday morning.
It was lovely to come home and read through your comments - kind of like having little notes left pinned on my door. Community is a rich thread of well-being in my life.
Thank you Sherrilene for being a friend and a colleague.
Thank you everyone for being part of my community.
Terrill:)
Wow, it is so nice this sharing of “up close and personal” experience, and the candid shots were lovely. This shared experience makes it more real, the interaction, the love that beams from your faces. Thanks for sharing this.
