In the shadows
Walk with me on a day that is too bright... we will escape into the shadows.
Life is transition and no place expresses this better than a garden.
Shadows are a gift to definition.
Shadows help us to find the light and appreciate every ray that reaches us.
We stand out at the edge of shadows.
Shadows help us find the beauty in what is too bright.
There is privacy in the shadows because only a few dare to go.
Underneath is a view seldom observed.
Standing alone in the shadows of our imperfections we are still beautiful.
Thank you for walking with me in the shadows on a day that was too bright.

Help

Terrill -
I'm at HolEssence and just stepped out of a Reiki session. In The Shadows just resonated through me in a profoundly strong and beautiful way. Thank you.
Thankyou for such a beautiful presentation Terrill. I have truly come to appreciate photography since becoming active in Gaia. For me it creates the physical aspect of our lives that is unable to be experienced in the virtual world and is a place for great expression of creativity.
Your welcome Laurie. So glad you stopped by between sessions.
Jenny, I so agree… photography is like breathing in a way that gives someone else oxygen. I started taking photos as a way to capture what I wanted to paint. Now I take photos for there own gift.
Terrill & Jenny -
I have always been intrigued with the way Belleruth Knaparstek (a benchmark in the world of guided imagery) says to, “… observe things [people, places, things] as if through the eye of a camera with no praise and no blame. To view them the way they are.”
Sweet! Laurie… I don't know Belleruth Knaparstek's work. I will have to look it up.
Terrill - Here's a link to her website. I attended a 2-day workshop with her in Indianapolis last year. Amazing woman! http://belleruthnaparstek.com/
wow! I just took a walk through these pictures and saw all of you sharing cool things. There is nothing like friends and nature. (I found this from Twitter... very cool!) Now I see why we also need Twitter & only asked this morning!
Hi Kathy - Sometimes we take the long road and still we end up right where we need to be. Thanks for coming by.
There is an interconnected happening between social media that has it being more about the best tool to communicate rather than being different neighbourhoods. For example “should I blog that, tweet it, grapevine it, make a phone call or just walk down the street and say hello”
Enjoyed. :)
With blessings,
Sherrilene
I love these strolls with you… treasures are found in the shadows…
Thanks Sherrilene and Nicole.
We have gentle rain coming down at the moment which is so desperately needed after weeks of dry weather. Everything is its best green out side my office window. Sometime I will have to take a photo of what I see when I am writing to you.
Marvelous! Will do it again anytime! Those were excellent shots!
Remembering you fondly!
Hi Mila - So glad you had time to come by. Ummm now that you are so close I seem to feel less in touch. Will drop by to your Gaia home and see what you have been doing.
Terrill,
It is a wondrous journey, thoughtful and expression-full. I enjoyed how you have captured the shadows while still standing in the light, giving expression of our own personal journey's…
The photographs are good, the last on of this Iris, as beautiful as it is throws something off, it feels jarring here, to me… I understand the journey completely…
Let me know if you wish more clarity…
I am Love, Jeff
What a beautiful morning stroll walking this paradoxical garden with you … thanks!
Thanks Jeff for responding to my request. I knew you would understand this journey and the challenges and beauty of light. I really value your thoughts and opinions. I had the same feeling about the Iris but it was part of the journey and what I found in the shadows of the garden by the creek … so left it in. Maybe I now will honour my intuition another time… that is what learning allows I think:) If any thing else comes to mind feel free to post here or direct mail me.
Thanks Satya-Seer! How come someone hasn't eaten that beautiful biscuit on your profile yet?
